Will be required to maintain inspection equipment and perform scheduled and routine upkeep of CMM’s.
Must be familiar with and capable of learning the use of all measuring instruments, tools and gages required to perform various mechanical inspection functions.
Must have thorough knowledge of shop math, blueprint reading and interpretation including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
Must be familiar with and capable of learning the use of all measuring instruments, tools and gages required to perform various mechanical inspection functions.
Must be able to read blueprint, work instructions and interpret engineering drawing requirements.
Proficient computing literacy required including Microsoft Office Suite.
May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Must have a thorough knowledge of the correct procedures to follow and precautions to take when performing their work in order to prevent damage to equipment and/or material and injury to themselves and/or others.
Maintains records of results. May require the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Must maintain a neat, orderly and safe work area.
Supports facility inspection needs and performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Near vision of 20/20 and far vision of 20/50 is required.
This may be achieved with corrective lenses, which then must be used during inspections and tests. Color perception must be normal if the nature of a task demands it.
