Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and partner with new on boarding doctors to ensure all paperwork is complete, accurate and accounted for including insurance applications, vendor applications, and internal paperwork for either employed or sublease credentialing, etc.
  • Source information from various internal databases to complete as much of the business applications as possible.
  • Identify missing or inaccurate data and research resolution, confirming accuracy directly with the new on boarding doctor.
  • Update all applicable databases with relevant information to Credentialing and Insurance Contracting.
  • Track key dates/ actions in the credentialing process and provide updates on progress to management, recommend solves for any issues
  • Communicate with new on boarding doctors on the required updates, processing, filing of paperwork for the ODs to internal and external customers.
  • Assist or advise doctors of the credentialing process as questions arise.
  • Analyse the data gathering process from internal and external sources to make recommendations on improve efficiencies.
  • Document processes and manage a central site to retain all files.
  • Address and resolve questions from doctors regarding administrative or run-the-business topics such as mail, voicemail, supplies, etc.
  • On a weekly basis provide tracking statistics and updates on each individual doctor’s step in the credentialing process and resolve issues and recommend enhancements to the process as deem necessary.
  • Once doctor accepts the sublease offer, ensure a smooth transition office opening and insurance approvals.
  • Responsible for ensuring systems & supplies are onsite, operational and accessible to new doctor.
  • Assist in uncovering and resolving doctor on-boarding issues, recommending program enhancement

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Healthcare
  • 2+ years of medical insurance experience
  • Strong self-starter able to manage multiple competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and customer-service focused
  • Proven track record of successful relationship management
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability
  • Attention to detail is key

Preferred Qualification:

  • Prior experience in the Optical environment
  • Prior experience in Healthcare Insurance
