•Coordinator provides financial management, research administration (pre and post award), and administrative services to PSTC.
•Prepares and reviews grant proposals for PSTC submissions using COEUS grant management tool and sponsor submission tools.
•Coordinates both the submission of new and continuing grant proposals and progress reports. In addition, assists PIs with answering questions or interpretations regarding RFPs and sponsored award or contract terms and conditions.
•Provides PSTC PIs with financial analysis and reporting (all fund types), advice, and resolves issues.
•Responsible for monitoring expenses, reconciling expenditures on assigned accounts, preparing financial closeouts for sponsored funds, provide financial management of spending and budgetary compliance, coordinate with OSP, and all in accordance with federal, University and Sponsor guidelines.
•Effectively communicate award and financial policies to students, faculty, and staff. Also, provide administrative support including purchasing and expense report processing.
•Responsible to maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive data.
•The position holds several roles in Workday, including Accounting Coordinator, Cost Center Reporting, and Financial Coordinator.
•2 to 4 years of finance/budget/fund accounting (preferably in academia or nonprofit) and research administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Pre and post award administration of externally funded grants and contracts (academic or hospital setting).
•Familiarity with sponsored project accounting, the award life cycle, and reporting. In addition, experience with fund accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, analysis, and journal entries.
•Proficient with grant sponsor websites. Specifically: NSF Fastlane, Grants.Gov, eRA Commons, and Proposal Central, as well as familiarity with foundation grant proposal website portals.
•Ability to manage confidential personal, business/financial data and information
•Knowledge of academic institutional systems and policies highly desirable
•Strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs, Gmail and related Google applications, Smart Phones, Web based tools, Coeus, InfoEd, Banner, FileMaker, Workday, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and a willingness to use new technology.
