Job Description

Pay Range: $25/Hr – $29/Hr, the pay rate may differ depending on your skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.

Base Qualifications:

  • Diagnose network connections for smart card readers.
  • Diagnose relay logic and board incidents.
  • Repair and replace smart card readers using a drill and other tools.
  • Hands on Experience in Network connections, installing devices, can take direction and balance the workload.
  • This is like a support tech role, Candidate that can make decisions independently.
  • Technology; networking concepts (linell, tansack.
  • Familiar/experience with the campus card industry.
  • Experience with security technology: physical installation side (hardward base).
  • Experience with University card machines.
  • Soft skills: attention to details, self-starter, reliable and strive to get things done.
  • Task Oriented: Daily tasks are provided for associate to complete.
  • The department will consider eventually transitioning the candidate to other roles.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of four- (4) year’s college study with a concentration of computer science, management information or business administration or an equivalent combination of training and experience is necessary.

Technical Qualifications:

  • Must possess in-depth knowledge of electronic and computer equipment, as well as communications devices.
  • Two to three years of experience in computer operations, including one year of programming experience is necessary.

Other Skills:

  • Must have excellent human relation’s skills with strong customer orientation and should possess excellent communication skills. Must also have good organizational skills.
  • Coordinate the ordering, installation, repair, maintenance and service of a variety of complex electronic hardware, associated peripheral, communication lines, and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and initiate repair of any servers, communications equipment and circuits related to the transaction processing systems.
  • Oversee the management of all campus card system software needs.
  • This includes server management, database management, web management, desktop management, and reporting, as well as the evaluation and deployment of new software packages.
  • Provide project management leadership on the implementation of new card program equipment, networks, interfaces, and documentation.
  • Function as team lead for all technical support employees, coordinate and schedule work, as well as train employees.
  • Act as technical liaison for GOCard Office to all internal and external entities and when needed assist GOCard staff and performs other related duties as assigned.
